The librarian wanted to introduce some more soft, relaxed seating spaces to work in with the existing table and chairs. Our role was to help with the new furniture style and colour scheme along with the new layout. We opted for calming blues and with contrasting reds to add a pop of colour. The plan was to move the majority of the freestanding book units into the Ann Cadbury Resource room (ACRR) which was used as a teaching space. The rooms linked by a door but did not link in any other way in terms of decor and feel.

In the ACRR we worked alongside the archivist who put together a timeline to go around the room above the new shelves. Our role was to come up with a colour scheme to link the rooms together, and make the ACRR more welcoming and usable.
